Hi. This blog site updates all that is new from me in terms of creative writing.
The site tracks me as I’m writing a novel – an ambitious project, started on March 1st 2010. Firstly, I write 200,000 words, so it’s all about getting the words down on the page. Then I “craft” the novel, making sure it is properly ordered and it all flows together. Then I edit the text. During the second part of this editing phase, I plan to have a team of people helping me. I plan to finish the novel by the end of 2013.
The novel is about a young man (based on myself) who thinks deeply about things. He finds himself to be quite different to everyone else. As the book progresses, he goes on a journey inside himself and out. Along the way, he meets some wise and unusual characters, joins a hospital radio station and a telephone support charity and finds himself working in the world of adult entertainment.
I don’t claim it’s going to be a good novel, but it’s certainly an interesting journey and it’s fun to track its progress on here.
I also write short stories, poems etc and will try and give some updates on here. And write blogs about what I’m doing in between.
23,000 and been putting sexual bits in - fun! Also been planning more of the book and how it fits as a whole. I have a good idea, but the more I write, the more it changes and new ideas come to various twists, plots, endings etc.
