Claire Fishpool

I'm learning a lot from this book journey. Its worth pointing out that I don't see myself as a great author or anything and am writing the book as much for fun as for anything else, and the proudness of having it bound somewhere when it's completed, whenever that is.

There's so much to learn, and what I consider my biggest weakness of all is descriptive language. As a consequence, this is where I have been putting most of my time and research. Especially as I am near the start of the book, and this is where I am requiring most description.

Today, I've been fascinated by character descriptions, and have been working at the description of one of my characters Claire Fishpool (incidentally the names of main characters I have are: Robert Chadwick (the main first-person of the story), Olia Flowers, Sara Maplethorpe, Claire Fishpool, Dominic "Squirrel" Parnis, Mark Winterford, Andrew Kingston-James, John Fossett, Rufus Grant, Tim Watson and Daljit "Bobby" Singh)

Anyway, I've been feeling my way around how to do character descriptions, and its made sense to make documents into which to put all the things about that character. Visual facial desciptions, metaphorical visual descriptions, clothing, words to describe how the different parts of their body move, and the whole point of trying to get across what emotions you would feel by being in their presence. Thats the real challenge, and its been fun cos its all new to me.
