29,000 words + fully edited the new stuff

Wow, today has been one of my most exciting days on the book so far. I've made some great progress on character definition and its been the best writing session I think I've had since I started the book.

I've been working on three bits today. The main bit is portraying the Hospital Radio experience and this is something that's going really well. I asked my good friend Jim Gavigan if he would mind me putting him in the book, and he is really happy for me to do it, so I am working at portraying his character, and the character of the radio station itself. I envisaged this possibly being one of the hardest storylines to do, as I figured it might be hard to persist with the more mundane side of the dialogue and action. . but actually I'm making really good strides at making this a really key and fruitful part of the novel.

So, yes, 29,000 words and been through and fully edited all the new stuff that I've done today. The biggest task for me is glue-ing everything together in a cohesive way and I'm happy I've made really good progress on that tonight!
